The renovation and upgrading project of the Panjnad Barrage in Pakistan, jointly implemented by Sinohydro Group and Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA), has been fully completed and put into official operation. As a key agricultural and water conservancy cooperation project under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the project has restored and upgraded the functions of the over-60-year-old hydraulic hub hailed as the "throat of the Indus River", delivering strong impetus to food security and regional water resources management in Punjab Province, Pakistan.
